We have a very eclectic mix of objects on display in the museum. Only after extensive cataloging by volunteers over the last couple of years have we been able to establish exactly what we have got! It adds up to more than 3000 items. These range from a couple of carts and a threshing machine through to small decorative items.

The bulk of the collection reflects working life in Marton a century or more ago. So there are various displays on different aspects of farming:

  • Sowing
  • Harvesting
  • Sheep and cattle rearing
  • The Dairy
  • Pest Control (including poaching techniques)
  • Horse power

Other displays focus on other village trades such as
